In my opinion, especially in the romance genre, this is essential to creating a more satisfying story where we are rooting for our protagonists to get together and create a solid and everlasting relationship.

4. How Do I Write My Serial Romances?

Most of my stories, before I start releasing them, are still in their first draft phase. Before I release a chapter, I try to expand and fix plot holes, as well as refine sentence structure, flow, and grammar. The works are still a draft, however, as they are not professionally edited.

One thing I try to remember throughout the entire process is to focus on the growth of the characters. This is extremely important in romance, as the focus in the story should be on the protagonists and their growing relationship.

One of the downfalls to me as a serial writer is to let people read my rough work. I try to do a good job to edit my drafts, but the released chapters are not the final product. It can intimidating as a writer to let people read your not-yet-professionally edited work.
